Triangle Lover

Eliot is very into Sesame Street these days. This weekend we watched an episode all about triangles (if you watch the show you know Telly is obsessed with triangles and this episode focused on him.)

Afterwards we went outside to play with sidewalk chalk. Eliot was drawing away and called out Mama! Triangle! I looked over and sure enough, little guy had drawn a pretty good triangle. I had to document, I was pretty impressed, considering he usually just makes big colorful scribbles.

Beach!

Yesterday we went to the park twice and the beach once. Today we went to the park once and beach once, but we spent a loooong time at the beach. Eliot had a salty, sandy, filthy wonderful time. He loved standing in the ocean. He ate watermelon on the beach. He ran around in circles and dug in the sand. He pointed put seagulls and boats and airplanes and seashells and kites. It was a wonderful, exhausting day and he is sleeping away, hopefully dreaming of the ocean.

Did you guess the park? Ding ding ding! Correct. It wouldn't be a weekend day without some swings, slides, sand and ducks. And look who can swing by himself on the big boy swing!

Easter Photo Bomb

So, yeah. It's May.  And May may almost be over.  Huh.  Regardless, I'm planning to recap the past couple of months in a series of posts, mostly because I want to have it for posterity.  Reminiscing through my own archives is much more fun when there are more than two posts per months.  So Easter!  Eggs!  Duckies!  Hurray!  Let's relive the fun.

Climbing!

So no full recap yet, but thought I would post a few photos of some recent shenanigans.  Also wanted to mark down for posterity that for the first time today, Eliot climbed a ladder all by himself!  Not like, a ladder to the roof.  We weren't having him clean the gutters or anything (although...mental note....), but there was a little 5 rung ladder up a structure at the playground and he climbed it all by himself.  He also climbed a little rock wall all by himself at another park today.  No one but me probably cares, but I was quite proud.

Big news!

Hey guys!  So....it's been a while.  I plan to come back and recap the last couple of months, mostly for my own benefit because I love having the record of Eliot as he changes.


That will have to wait a few days, however, and in the meantime I wanted to share our big news.  Yes, Eliot got a fish named Jack who is his best friend (the first thing he does every morning is yell HI JACK! HI JACK!), and he moved into a toddler bed with great success.  But those are actually small potatoes.  Come October, Eliot is going to have a little sister!  There will be even more to keep track of on here (and less time to do it, but for good reason.)  We are all very excited.


And because I hate to leave a post without photos, here is a photo of the aforementioned Jack, and another of Eliot just being adorable on his bike.
